The Kimkins scam was fabricated by a morbidly obese woman named Heidi Diaz from Corona Ca. After posing for years on internet low carb diet sites as "kimmer" and fabricating a 200 lb weight loss this con artist invented her own diet, built a website and launched Kimkins in 2006.
Using pictures she downloaded (read stolen) from Russian Mail Order Bride internet web sites, she fabricated before and after stories of amazing weight loss on her starvation diet.
Heidi Diaz bullied and berated those who were "too weak" to follow this strict plan while she gained weight munching on sugar cookies from the anonymous safety of her PC.
After collecting millions of dollars in a few months for membership to this site she was exposed as the fraud she really is and is facing a class action lawsuit as well as being investigated by various authorities.
But her Kimkins site remains operational and there are a handful of co-conspirators such as Jeannie Baitinger and Delaney Deaver, who are perpetuating their boss' dirty work.
Once upon a time I had a real career,a "normal" life and was part of conventional society. About a decade ago I decided to go my own way, operated my own business, started living on my own terms and trying to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I loved living in the White Rock area of Vancouver, BC and traveling, gardening, basically just existing. Working to pay the bills and trying to have fun and find my path.
Along the way I made friends with a lot of wonderful people both near and far. I hope they will follow me as I share my next adventure - Moving to Mexico!
I am single, female, mid 50's and attached to an orange cat affectionately known as the Tiger. He has renamed himself El Tigre del Norte and mostly sleeps but the odd time he does something cute and noteworthy so will be given space here. His lawyers will be monitoring anything said about him closely LOL.
We have decided to sell the house lock stock and rain barrels and relocated in the Lake Chapala area of Jalisco, MX in early January 2011.
So if you are a new friend, an old friend, a stranger, come in and enjoy my musings! Wish us luck and have fun following our journey.
